  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). The tube pan should be washed in hot soapy water to ensure that it is completely clear of any grease.
  2. To make the egg whites foamy, whisk them in a large bowl made of metal or glass that is dry. Continue to whisk the mixture while adding the cream of tartar and salt.
