Delicious Salsa Recipe

This quick and easy food processor salsa recipe is full of fresh flavours. Excellent condiment for appetisers and mains!

– 4 ripe tomatoes (Roma or small tomatoes, see notes) – 1 (14.5 ounce/411g) can whole or diced tomatoes drained – ½ red onion quartered – 1-2 jalapeno peppers halved and seeded (optional) – ⅓ cup packed fresh cilantro leave – 3 large cloves garlic peeled – 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice – 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (optional) – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional) – ½ teaspoon salt and – ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

INSTRUCTION

Put all of the ingredients into a food processor and mix them together.

In a food processor, process the ingredients until they are finely chopped or until the salsa reaches the consistency you choose

Taste, and if necessary, add additional ingredients to the dish.

Pour into a bowl or jar, and place in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it, or for up to five days.

It is recommended that the salsa be stored in the refrigerator for a few hours until the flavours have had a chance to combine.
