Delicious Nana’s Easy Cheesecake Recipe

My nana's quick cheesecake is wonderful for parties! Put your favourite pie filling or sauce and whipped cream on top.

For the Crust – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature – 3 tablespoons granulated sugar – pinch of salt For the Filling – 24 ounces cream cheese 3 packages, room temperature – 2 ¼ cups powdered sugar – 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract For the Topping – 2 21-ounce cans cherry pie filling or other flavor of choice – 8 ounces container of Cool Whip or TruWhip thawed according to package direction

INSTRUCTION

Warm the oven up to 350°F. Put foil or parchment paper inside a 9x13-inch pan and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

Using the paddle tool on a stand mixer, mix the flour, butter, sugar, and salt together until they are all mixed in. The mixture will be crumbly.

It's time to put the dough in the pan. Once it's in there, use your hands to make it even out. Put in a hot oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Take the pan out of the oven and put it on a rack to cool down fully.

Add the cream cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat on medium speed for 4 to 5 minutes, until the mixture is light and fluffy.

After you add the powdered sugar and vanilla, beat for three to four more minutes. Cover the shell with the filling.

Place pie filling on top, then Cool Whip. Put it in the fridge with the lid on for at least 4 hours.
